城裏城外的多元視角：三十年來澳門研究回顧及展望

For a long time, the Chinese traditional historical theory and methods analysis have been fundamental and critical to Macau studies as a large number of recordings and writings of the local Chinese and Portuguese business activities and customs have been kept since the Ming and Qing dynasties. However, Macau studies were at a standstill because very little official attention was paid to the changing local Chinese society and a lack of local rights were part of the long negative side-effects for Macau since the Portuguese forcibly occupied in 1848. In a new age of SinoPortuguese cooperation since the Macau Handover negotiations in 1986 and the Macau Handover itself in 1999, the results of Macau research, such as Macau Chronicles, Macau General History, Macau Encyclopedia and other important articles are discussed and published bymultiple perspectives. As an exploration of new academic subject or theory, the concept and content of Estudos de Macau or Macau Studies has been widely discussed and accept gradually. Of course it will in turn further promote the prosperity of Macau research in a good environment of One Country -Two Systems.
