本課程旨在推動對澳門政治、經濟、社會、文化和歷史等方面的連貫的、綜合和跨學科的研究，一方面為澳門服務，同時透過對澳門的了解更好地理解東西方交流的過程，有助於學術界進一步理解澳門在東西方文化、宗教、文學、藝術等方面互動中所發揮的重要橋樑作用。
This programme will promote a coherent and synthetic study of Macao in political, economic, social, cultural and historical aspects. It will serve Macau and contribute to the intellectual understanding of Macao as a significant bridge for the East and the West in the areas of culture, religion, literature and arts.
課程擬定學習成效（只提供英文版本）
- Explain the various areas and perspectives of Macao studies after taking the courses.
- Trace the historical development of Macao and to identify the issues in today’s society from various perspectives such as politics, economics and sociology.
- Develop a research question, locate it theoretically and choose an appropriate research method.
- Conduct a research of Macao studies and finish a thesis.
