Abstract
“九一八”事變喚醒了人們對於國難與教育關係的反思,國難教育思潮興起,中國基督徒知識分子群體積極響應並參與其中。然而,基督徒的特殊身份以及基督教一直以來對於和平主義的追求,直接影響到他們對於基督教應當以何種方式救國的選擇。隨着民族危機的加深,民族主義的選擇幾乎代替了一切,中國基督徒知識分子群體轉而反省自身,提出以精神教育作為應對國難的基本主張。這是中國基督徒的固有使命,也是基督教教育社會化的必然結果。

The “9.18” incident caused Chinese people to reflect on the relationship between the national crisis and education. Chinese Christian Educator groups actively respond and participate. However, the special status of Christians and Christianity’s long pursuit of pacifism directly affect their choice as a Christian the option to save the nation. As the national crisis deepened, the nationalist alternative almost triumphed over all the other choices, Chinese Christian Educator groups then turned to reflect on their own, and put forward the proposition that the spirit education should be the basic principle that can help deal with the national calamity. It is the inherent mission of Chinese Christians as well as the inevitable result of Christian socialization of education.
