二十世紀上半葉澳門的建築遺產保護

The Macau city in the early 20th century, besides the modern urban construction process such as land reclamation in large scale, opening of new roads, expansion of urban area and construction of new buildings, the Portuguese Macau government had also begun to protect the architectural heritage. This article is a study on the heritage protection of the Portuguese Macau government in the early 20th century, through deep research of documents, exploring the origin of heritage protection in Macau. In addition, through an analysis of heritage protection policies of Portugal in the early 20th century, examining the protection of the St. Paul’s Ruins, classification of architectural heritage in 1953, the nature of the Aesthetic Committee, understanding the Portuguese Macau government’s architectural heritage protection policies before having a heritage protection law and protection list. This article complements and amends some points of the previous relative studies.
