Abstract
本研究調查在新冠疫情肆虐、社會焦慮的整體背景下,服務業工作人員的忙碌心態和領導者責任意識的影響,試圖瞭解服務行業從業人員在疫情下主觀幸福感的變化。本研究也探索了員工焦慮和主觀幸福感之間的關係,以及員工不同程度的焦慮感所產生的中介效應。本研究共收集了三輪數據,時間分別在2020 年4 月(第一輪)、5 月(第二輪) 以及6 月(第三輪),共收集到來自澳門綜合度假村酒店300 多份員工以及70 多份管理者的調查數據,使用多層線性模型對數據進行了整理分析。結果表明在新冠疫情影響下, 員工的忙碌心態會增加他們的焦慮程度,從而降低他們的主觀幸福感,而領導者的責任意識則可以緩減焦慮對主觀幸福感的影響。研究結果能夠為服務業的企業和政府機構提供啟發,提出理論參考與實際建議。領導人的責任意識能夠顯著幫助員工克服焦慮感和不安、提高幸福感,從而積極應對新冠疫情下突發改變的工作環境。

This study investigates service employees’ subjective happiness under the conditions of anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic, which may influence employees’ busy mindset and leader’s conscientiousness. This study also explores the relationship between employee anxiety and subjective happiness and the mediating effects of different levels of employee anxiety. The data of 300+ service employees and 70+ team leaders were collected via three waves of survey, in April (Time 1), May (Time 2) and June (Time 3) in 2020, with an interval of four weeks between each time-point. Data analyses were conducted by using hierarchical linear modelling. Result shows that employees’ busy mindset can increase their anxiety and decrease the subjective happiness ultimately during the COVID-19 pandemic, while leader conscientiousness can help remedy the negative outcome of anxiety on subjective happiness. The findings provide the empirical reference and practical suggestions to service employees and senior executives in the service industry. Leadership responsibility can significantly help employees overcome anxiety, improve their well-being, and respond positively to the sudden changes in the work environment under the new pandemic.
