略論澳門原創故事法——“開元故事法”

Established by Mr Paul Pang from Macao, Kaiyuan Storytelling Method is an original storytelling method that promotes personalized stories, i.e., stories chosen or created according to the listeners’ interests and needs. Its core ideas carry some universal values and important communication principles, which emphasize love, encouragement, storytellers’ faithfulness to their own feelings and values, scenarios that carry resonance for listeners, and storytellers’ inclusiveness for listeners’ ideas and feelings that differ from theirs. It involves integrated knowledge and theories from the fields of education, psychology, history, literature, etc. This storytelling method is beneficial to children’s lifelong development, self-discovery and self-motivation. It also helps solve parenting problems, establish close parent-child relationships, foster creativity, promote personalized literature as well as the cultures of Macao and Mainland China.
