澳門金融業與博彩業耦合互動發展的實證研究──基於2001至2021年數據的分析

The moderate economic diversification of Macao has established a “1+4” industrial development strategy, with the gambling industry as the pillar and the modern financial industry as one of the four emerging industries. By constructing the Coupling and Coordinated Model of the financial industry and gaming industry, applying data from 2001 to 2021 in Macao and calculating the comprehensive order parameter, degree of coupling, and coupling coordination in the two decades, we find: the comprehensive order parameter of the gaming industry is larger than that of the financial industry, which means the gaming industry has higher development level in Macao and has a larger positive effect to the financial industry than financial industry to it; the coupling coordination of financial industry and gaming industry keeps increasing, however, it remains a relatively low level with barely and medium coordinated coupling, which means the interaction between the two industries should be improved; the resilience to external shocks of the financial industry and the gaming industry interactive development needs to be further improved. At a new development stage, Macao should aim at coordinated development of the financial and gaming industry and its moderate economic diversification by encouraging proper development of the gaming industry with strict supervision and guidance, and by devoting major efforts to developing modern financial industry and other non-gambling industries with the support of people flow, logistics, capital flow and other elements absorbed by the gambling industry.
