An industrial recipe is the common knowledge accumulated by an industry. This knowledge is embodied in the consensus, common philosophy, culture, practice, process and other methods of mainstream enterprises in the industry. It is the core element that the companies of an industry need to consider for survival and development. An industrial recipe is of great significance to the development of an industry. Effective use of industrial recipes is one of the ways for companies to improve performance and enhance competitiveness. This article reviews the relevant theories of industrial recipes and points out the formation mechanism of industrial recipes and the value of industrial recipes to enterprises. On the basis of the above analysis, the thesis summarizes the industrial recipe of the gaming industry, especially that of Macao’s gaming industry, by analyzing the annual reports of six Macao gaming companies and their Las Vegas parent companies, the speeches of top management of gaming companies, and related research literature on Macao and the US gaming industry.
