1580－1640年間，葡萄牙成為西班牙聯合王朝的一個組成部分，中國與伊比利亞世界早期貿易進入最為繁榮的時期。起初，澳門雖作為葡萄牙殖民帝國在東方最富有、最具吸引力的“經濟首府”，但其影響力仍只局限在東印度區間，及至中國與伊比利亞世界早期貿易體制最終形成之時，澳門和馬尼拉遙相呼應，一同成為這一全球性貿易網路之中最為重要的兩個支點。伴隨着 這一全球性貿易網路的開闢，也揭開了中國與伊比利亞世界早期貿易開創世界市場的關鍵年代。
Portugal was a part of the Kingdom of Spain from 1580-1640, and during that time early trade between China and Iberia entered into its most prosperous period. In the beginning, Macao was the richest and most attractive eastern economic metropolis of the Portuguese colonial empire. However, its influence was restricted to East India. As China and Iberia formed their early trade framework, Macao and Manila echoed each other at a distance and became the two most important pivot points in this global trading network. Along with the opening of this trading network, it as well unveiled the crucial period when China and Iberia started the global trading market. |
