社區道德規範對居民垃圾分類回收行為的跨層次交互性研究——基於粵港澳大灣區的實證研究

Drawing on the theory of planned behavior and self-determination theory, this study aims to investigate the cross-level interactive effect of community moral norms and residents’ conscientiousness on their garbage separation and recycling behavior. This helps to expand the current understanding of the psychological processes of motivating residents’ garbage separation and recycling behavior.This study conducted a time-lagged field study via three waves in June (Time 1), July (Time 2), and August (Time 3) 2021. The data involved 327 residents from 30 communities in the cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (including Macao, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong). The study used a multi-level structural equation model to organize and analyze the data. The results reveal that moral reflectiveness mediates the relationship between residents’ conscientiousness and garbage separation and recycling behavior; when community moral norms are stronger, the relationship between residents’ conscientiousness and moral reflectiveness is weaker. The results can provide a decision-making basis for relevant management organizations and government agencies.
