澳門公共語言空間的語言管理——以報紙和政府網站為例

This paper uses the language management theory of Spolsky as the framework to explore the role of modern mass media in language management in Macao. This study collected 1,295 pieces of news related to languages and published in 14 Chinese newspapers, 5 Portuguese newspapers and 2 English newspapers as well as all government websites from January 2018 to May 2019. After analyses of relevant languages reported in the news, the topic categories and locations of reported events, this study finds that Macao newspaper media has been aware of language management. It also finds that news relevant to language management published by the newspaper has both similarities and differences with those published on government websites, but in general more similarities than differences.
