A Study on the Relations among Teacher-Student Relationship, Learning Attitude and Academic Achievement of Secondary School Students in Macao

Abstract
本研究以澳門中學生作為研究對象,探討澳門中學生師生關係、學習態度與學業成就之相關情形,並瞭解師生關係與學習態度對學業成就的影響。本研究採用定量研究方式,以“師生關係量表”、“學習態度量表”和“學業成就量表”為研究工具,以滾雪球抽樣法從澳門十間中學收集305位中學生的資料,然後以皮爾遜積差相關和逐步回 歸分析法來進行統計分析,並得出結果如下:一、澳門中學生師生關係、學習態度和學業成就呈現顯著正相關(p<0.01);二、師生關係、學習態度對“整體學業成就”、“認知”、“情意”、“技能”具有顯著的預測力(p<0.05),解釋變異量在56.6-67.5%之間。最後根據本研究之結果提出建議,以作特區政府、學校、教師、家長、學生等之參考。

This study takes Macao secondary school students as the research object, which investigates the teacher-student relationships, learning attitudes, and academic achievement of secondary school students in Macao and understands the influence of teacher-student relationships and learning attitudes on academic achievement. According to the purpose of this study, this study uses a quantitative research method, the “Teacher-Student Relationship Scale”, “Learning Attitude Scale”, and “Academic Achievement Scale” as research tools, and used the snowball sampling method to collect the data of 305 secondary school students from ten secondary schools in Macao. Using Pearson’s product-difference correlation and stepwise regression analysis for statistical analysis, the results are as follows: 1. There was a significant positive correlation between the teacher-student relationship, learning attitude, and academic achievement of Macao secondary school students (p<0.01); 2. Teacher-student relationship and learning attitude have significant predictive power on “overall academic achievement”, “cognition”, “affection”, and “skill” (p<0.05), and the explaining variance is between 56.6% to 67.5%. Finally, according to the results of this study, suggestions are put forward for the reference of the Macao government, schools, teachers, parents, students, Etc.
