Abstract
澳門卅多年來教育發展的一個明顯軌跡,是政府從撒手不管到介入、再到積極參與私立學校的教育。從20世紀80年代開始,澳葡政府開始關注私立學校的教育,開始進行調查和研究。在澳門回歸的過渡期,學術單位是推動教育研究的主要力量,澳門大學的澳門研究中心和教育學院是1990年代兩個重要的學術研究單位,在政府和民間教育團體的支持下,推動本地的教育研究。回歸以後,學術單位研究力量一再提升,政府因應檢討教育制度委託各地大專院校進行的各種教育研究、澳門基金會匯集出版高質量的教育研究論文、中華教育會恆常徵集出版教育專題文集和專著,這又是另一番景象。本文將以澳門的當代教育發展為參照,概述這些年來的一些教育研究的情況和資料。

The trajectory of educational development in Macau during the past thirty or more years has revealed the change of attitude of the government from indifference in the past to intervention and active participation in the private education sector. The Macau Portuguese government showed concerns about education in the private sector in the 1980s. Since then, the government has started to conduct educational surveys and research. During the transition period in Macau, academic units were undoubtedly the major force driving educational studies, two of which were the Centre for Macau Studies and the Faculty of Education of the University of Macau. Local educational studies were launched with the support of the government and local educational organizations. After the return of sovereignty, there have emerged some new trends, including the growth of academic units in terms of their research capability, the awarding of various educational studies to tertiary institutions from different regions by the government for the sake of evaluating the education system, the compilation and publication of quality educational research papers by The Macao Foundation, as well as the calls for submission of book manuscripts and papers on special themes for publication by The Chinese Educators’ Association of Macau on a regular basis. This paper will give an account of the educational studies and some related works with reference to the contemporary educational development in Macau.
