十九世紀末至二十世紀中葉的澳門城市現代化建設──基於澳門檔案館內城市及建築圖則的研究

The collection of architectural and urban drawings at the Archives of Macao date from the end of the 19th century to the middle of 20th century and show various planning and design projects, original urban texture of some districts as well as villages that disappeared during the process of urban modernization. From the study of these drawings, four main characteristics of the urban modernization of Macao at that time can be found: (1) the modernization process with development strategy;(2) urban hygiene being one of the main considerations;(3) similarities with various European cities, especially Portuguese ones in urban modernization;(4) adaptive planning for Macao.
