A delegation led by the Associate Dean, Professor Ding Xù Guāng, from Guangzhou Administration College visited University of Macau on 17 January. The delegation visited the University Wu Yee Sun Library, the University Gallery and the Centre for Macau Studies located at the Cultural Building. Prof. Wu Jianzhong, the University Librarian, introduced how the library manage and keep the rare collection in recent years. The Director of Centre for Macau Studies, Prof. Agnes Lam, welcomed the delegation and a seminar was held between the two parties to discuss the background and latest development about “Macau studies”, and how the higher institutions support the education, research and serve as “think-tank” of the government.
The delegation agreed that this trip provide them insightful understanding towards University of Macau as well as the related aspects of research in Macau, local society and latest economic situation at this region. This visit is meaningful and fruitful to them.
