The Third Annual Conference of Macao Studies (2023)

4-5 Dec 2023, University of Macau, Macao

We are pleased to invite researchers who are interested in the study of Macao in the Asian and global contexts to submit paper proposals for presentations at the Third Annual Conference of Macao Studies. The conference will be held on 4-5 Dec 2023 at the Centre for Macau Studies, University of Macau.

Conference Theme

This year the conference will explore the changing geo-politics and geo-economics of Macao. Macao has experienced major transformations during a number of historical conjunctures. These transformations underlined the geo-political and geo-economic roles played by Macao in the Greater China and global contexts. We welcome original studies of these key episodes in the historical past as well as in the contemporary period.
