To further demonstrate the connection with the society and strengthen the interaction with the Macao society and the young generation, the Centre for Macau Studies has launched the “CMS Educational Talk Series” at Residential Colleges & local high schools since March this year. This new initiative may allow to build a platform to promote relevant information about Macao and Macao studies, so as to achieve the ultimate goal of “serving Macau”, with special attention to the high school kids and university students.
The first educational talk has been successfully conducted on 24 March at the Sacred Heart Canossian College (English Section). Dr. Henry Lei, the Associate Head of Department of Finance and Business Economics of FBA has been invited as the honorable guest speaker for the first educational talk. There were more than 100 students from Form 5 of SHCC attended the talk. They were shared lots of insightful details about the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin & the Greater Bay Area (GBA), and economic diversification of Macao. Students agreed that the educational talk was quite informative and hence quite a lot of queries and interactions had been raised during the sharing session.
