UM holds seminar to discuss residential life, culture and environment development of Master Plan

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Macau Studies (CMS) today (30 September) held a symposium on Macao’s urban development master plan, with a focus on the living and cultural environment of the city. CMS Director Agnes Lam presided over the symposium. Experts and scholars in various fields discussed the different aspects of the draft urban development master plan of Macao for the 2020-2040 period, and provided suggestions on such issues as public spaces and cultural environment. They all agreed that the master plan should be people-oriented and take the human element into consideration to achieve a harmonious interaction between humans and urban spaces.
